The ominous Balfour Declaration of 1917

More than 106 years have passed since the infamous Balfour Declaration, a promise made by someone who does not deserve it to someone who does not own it. In that letter, British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour wrote to Lord Rothschild, the head of the British Zionist movement, during World War I, saying:

"Greetings, Lord Rothschild

With great pleasure, I present to you the following expression of support for Jewish Zionist ambitions on behalf of His Majesty's Government, which has been approved by the Cabinet:

The government of His Majesty favors the creation of a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine and will make every effort to make this happen. However, it is understood that nothing will be done that could jeopardize the civil and religious rights of the non-Jewish communities currently residing in Palestine or the rights and political standing enjoyed by Jews in any other nation."

This pledge, which was made in a letter dated November 2, 1917, is still the basis for the misery of the Palestinian people today. After World War I, Britain was given the mandate power over Palestine and gave all the support and aid required to enable the Zionist movement's organized migration of Jews to Palestine. Under the formula "a land without a people for a people without a land," the mandate authorities armed and organized Zionist gangs, paved the way for them to invade and burn Palestinian cities and towns, drive away their residents, and take their property.

The Palestinian Arab people have persisted in their struggle and resistance against the occupation and its defeat, despite all the plots, agreements, and attempts by the Zionist movement and its allies to seize the land as well as the war crimes they committed over several decades.
