"Gaza from 2005 to 2024"

After eight days, on August 15, 2005, the Israelis withdrew from the Gaza Strip and the settlers were evacuated; this event is seen as a historic triumph for the Palestinian people and the Gaza resistance.

However, what took place after 2005?

Israel attempted to impose an oppressive siege on Gaza, transforming the region into an outdoor jail. It took over the sea and commerce crossings, controlling everything that came in and went out. Not content to stop there, Israel continued to wage wars against Gaza, carrying out heinous atrocities and attempting to obliterate the enclave.

The conflicts fought against Gaza's resilience include:

- Rainy Season (2006)
During an attack on a tank close to Gaza in 2006, Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit was taken prisoner by Palestinian terrorists and taken into the region. Two days later, the Israeli army began a military operation known as "Summer Rains," which involved a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip after extensive shelling. Ten months had passed since Israel's unilateral "Disengagement" plan, which called for the removal of settlers and military personnel from Gaza.

- Cast Lead / Battle of Al-Furqan (2008-2009)

Israel began its ruthless assault on the Gaza Strip on December 27, 2008, referring to it as "Operation Cast Lead," but the Palestinian resistance referred to it as the "Battle of Al-Furqan." Israeli weaponry, which are forbidden by international law, caused tremendous harm to Gaza's infrastructure during the 23-day conflict, which claimed the lives of about 1500 people. The most important buildings in the region, including mosques, schools, colleges, and hospitals, were targeted by Israeli aircraft. Israeli officials have not faced consequences for their crimes against the Gaza Strip and its people, even in spite of the fact that international and human rights groups have documented war crimes against Palestinian civilians.

- Stones of Sajil / Pillar of Cloud War (2012)

"Operation Pillar of Cloud," a Hebrew word meaning "divine punishment," was the name given by Israel to their invasion on the Gaza Strip, while the Palestinian resistance picked "Stones of Sajil."

Around 180 Palestinians lost their lives in the conflict, which started on November 14, 2012, and numerous Israeli soldiers also perished. The aim of this military operation was to destroy the revolutionary spirit among the Palestinian people residing in the area as well as to weaken and annihilate the resistance in Gaza.

- Devouring Storm/War of Protective Edge (2014)

Israel began an operation in 2014 that it called "Operation Protective Edge," but the opposition called it "Devouring Storm." The Israeli army launched tens of thousands of airstrikes on houses, schools, hospitals, and civilian targets during the 51-day onslaught.

Following the abduction, torture, and burning alive of Mohammed Abu Khdeir, a Palestinian youngster, by settlers in occupied Jerusalem in July 2014, which heightened tensions in the West Bank, the aggression was a reaction to reciprocal bombardment by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.

Known for its ferocity and carnage, the 2014 war saw atrocities perpetrated by Israel.

The Call of Dawn: A Battle (2019)

Zionist colonial planes fired missiles into the residence of Palestinian resistance leader Bahaa Abu al-Ata, a martyr commander, in the Shuja'iya district of Gaza City early on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Along with his spouse, he was martyred, causing injuries to multiple of his children.

In response to this assassination, the Palestinian resistance conducted a multi-day campaign known as the "Battle of Dawn's Call," in which hundreds of rockets were fired into Israeli towns and locations.

Conflict of the Walls Keeper/Jerusalem Sword (2021)

The Sword of Jerusalem broke out when Israeli occupation soldiers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque and began attacking worshippers. Israeli settlers had taken properties belonging to Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah.

The Palestinian people, yelling in the squares, called on the Palestinian resistance to bombard the occupation with rockets in order to protect their right to their homes and land. In response, the resistance fired thousands of rockets into occupied territory. This scenario demonstrates the Palestinian people's unity in support of the resistance option.

Over 5,000 Palestinians were injured and about 250 Palestinians died as a result of this war. Israel also announced the demolition of over 100 kilometers of tunnels in Gaza and targeted a number of residential structures.

The Squares Wars (2022).

The Palestinian resistance gave this military conflict the moniker "Battles of the Squares" in an attempt to draw direct parallels between Gaza and the West Bank in all respects, particularly in light of the occupation's attempts to isolate Gaza from all activities taking place in the West Bank in order to control the resistance movement there. In all of its domains, the opposition is consolidating and expanding.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports that 360 Palestinians were injured with various wounds and that about 50 Palestinians, including 17 children, were martyred. Two prominent leaders of the Palestinian resistance, Taysir al-Jabari and Khalid Mansour, were also assassinated by Israel. On the other hand, the operation did not result in any significant casualties among Israelis; in fact, only few were wounded.

- Al-Aqsa Flood (2023–2024)

As part of one of the biggest genocides in recorded history, Israel is attempting to eradicate all human life, all trees, all dwellings, and the land in the Gaza Strip in order to render it unfit for human habitation.
