"Israeli Aggression Returns to Beit Lahia Once Again"

In an effort to destroy what was left of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army carried out yet another atrocity in Beit Lahia in the north. It is still using force to uproot an estimated 50,000 persons who are its remaining inhabitants.

Before ordering the population of Beit Lahia to evacuate, the Israeli occupation force launched heavy artillery and airstrikes on the town, citing it as a "dangerous combat zone." It vowed to "act forcefully" within the community. It should be emphasized that the evacuation routes to blocks 1770 and 1766 that the Israeli occupation assigned to the population of Beit Lahia are originally damaged regions that are unfit for human habitation. They also lack water supplies and have wrecked sewage systems. The two areas that have been designated for evacuation are dangerous areas that, since October 7 of last year, have seen widespread destruction, including public facilities and shelters, as has happened to all of Beit Lahia and the northern Gaza Strip. Every location that the Israeli army declares to be a military operation zone is entirely destroyed, under siege, and the targets of the most horrific killings against the local population, who refused to flee since there was nowhere safe for them to go. This is in light of the ongoing crimes of genocide and forced relocation carried out by the illegal occupation in the Gaza Strip.

The horrendous crimes and violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law that have been going on from the beginning of the aggression will be made worse by the military operation that the Israeli army is conducting in Beit Lahia.

During the preceding seven months of its military assault on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army has conducted a number of large-scale military operations in Beit Lahia, most notably toward the end of last December, which resulted in significant damage to houses, infrastructure, and civil and service facilities. The buildings and infrastructure of Beit Lahia suffered damage at a rate of over 90%.

Since the occupation has left it completely barren of all life, it makes no sense for the occupying force to return there. After seven months of hostility, this occupation is still going to great lengths to ruin all that has already been destroyed in an attempt to give the impression that it has won.
