"Bombing civilian homes without prior warning"
Without giving any notice, Israel demolished residential buildings and homes in Gaza, killing the occupants and their memories and dreams in the process, leaving behind mountains of ash. In the Gaza Strip, around 300,000 residential units suffered partial destruction and over 75,000 total residential unit destruction.
With its onslaught against Gaza, Israel broke every rule of international law, including international humanitarian law. Thousands of homes were attacked without prior notice to their residents, causing horror and panic among the populace, particularly women and children. This act of indiscriminate bombing is considered one of the worst war crimes in contemporary history. This bombing's only goal is to demolish the Gaza Strip, specifically target the Palestinian population there, and eradicate Palestinian families off the face of the earth.
Tens of thousands of people were killed and injured as a result of this bombing, and there are still some missing people who are under the debris. Following the unexpected shelling of the area, a resident of Zawaida recounted, "We found our civilian neighbors in pieces everywhere, all of them torn apart. We heard the sound of bombing suddenly." The scene's horror left us speechless." "I ran to a house in the neighborhood that was bombed without warning, inhabited by more than 25 displaced people who fled to secure themselves," a second Khan Younis resident stated. They are all now in fragments, some of which we are yet unable to extricate."
The accounts of those who saw these killings are similar in that they all characterize the events as horrifying and violent, leaving behind the dispersed body parts of women, children, and the old.
