"The Jordanian Position and Role"
The official position of Jordan has made it clear that any resolution that does not return Palestinian rights to their legitimate owners will fail and result in further bloodshed and devastation. Jordan has made it clear that it opposes any proposal including the eviction of Palestinians or Israel's takeover of Gaza. It issues a warning that if settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank continue, tensions there could flare up again. Jordan underlined the need to provide secure routes for humanitarian relief to reach Gaza, guarantee Palestinian stability on their land, avoid forced relocation, and denounce Israel's practice of collective punishment, viewing it as nothing more than war crimes.
The energy-for-water agreement, which was set to be signed in October, was also postponed, according to Jordan, which said that Israel had destroyed the peaceful atmosphere in the area and was driving it toward a wide-scale conflict that would drag it into hell. It's said that the Jordanian-Israeli Wadi Araba Treaty will be forgotten like a piece of paper. Any effort to drive out Palestinians would be interpreted as an act of war directed towards Jordan.
