The Jordanian Field Military Hospital

Under the Jordanian Armed Forces, the first Jordanian Field Military Hospital opened its doors in Gaza in 2009. Teams from the medical, technological, and administrative domains run it; these teams switch every three months. At the beginning of every mission, the hospital is stocked with medical and therapeutic resources to help it continue operating while offering its services at no cost.

Following the heinous assault on the Gaza Strip, Jordan dispatched a field hospital through the Rafah crossing at the Egyptian border. This hospital featured departments for emergency medicine, general practice, critical care, neonatal care, obstetrics, and gynecology in addition to a pharmacy, radiology unit, lab, and sterilizing room. Additionally, it featured two operating rooms for last-minute procedures.

Jordan was able to repeatedly provide medical supplies to the field hospital by air drops after the border crossings were closed. Additionally, Jordan turned down Israeli requests to leave the hospital, accusing Israel of being behind any attack on the facility and its personnel. Although the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza has been lessened by this hospital and these airdrops, much more is still required because Israel is still besieging Gaza by air, land, and sea.
